Fragments of What Remains is an evolving body of contemporary metal artwork exploring memory, relationships, loss, change and the traces we carry through life.

Inspired by family history, textiles, industry and the landscapes that have shaped my life, I create one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces from copper, brass and nickel silver. Through layering, embossing, stitching and weathering metal, I build surfaces that echo the marks left by time, experience and the people who have shaped us.

For me, this work is about holding on to the pieces that matter. It's about loss, love, family, relationships and the memories we quietly carry with us. It's about patching together fragments of what was, using found objects, treasured keepsakes and weathered materials that spark memories and create new stories from old ones.

Growing up in Stoke-on-Trent, surrounded by pottery, industry and generations of makers, gave me a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, resilience and the beauty found in well-used materials. Since moving to Cornwall, the changing land, sea and sky have brought a new sense of light, space and reflection to my work. Together, these places continue to shape both the materials I choose and the stories I tell.

Each piece is made entirely by hand in my Cornwall studio. No two are ever the same. Together they form an evolving collection that reflects on what we choose to hold on to, what we leave behind, and the fragments that remain.
