A big, beautiful statement brooch made from layered mixed metals. The background is a frilled panel of hand-cut nickel silver, topped with a large copper heart decorated with individual heart and flower shapes — each one cut, shaped and textured by hand in my St Austell workshop.
The copper is gently heated to bring out its natural patina, then polished back to reveal warm highlights and soft contrasts. Every mark, layer and shimmer of colour arrives through real tools, real heat and real hands, giving each brooch its own personality.
