This Framed Heart Ring is a gutsy little statement piece, built from layers of hand-cut metal in my St Austell studio. The band is solid copper, topped with a frilled copper edge that gives the ring a soft ripple of movement. Sitting at the centre is a bright brass heart, framed by polished and stamped nickel silver that catches the light beautifully.
The surface details come from hand-texturing, stamping and gentle heat patination, giving the metals their natural shifts of colour and tone.
Every element of the ring is shaped, filed, soldered and finished individually, so no two pieces ever turn out the same.
