This strip ring is made from a long piece of copper I etched over 30 years ago, kept safe until now. The etched surface carries deep marks, ridges and patterns that naturally echo the slate lines and weathered rock edges found along the Cornish coastline — raw, layered and expressive.
Each ring is shaped, filed and finished by hand in my St Austell studio, letting the metal’s original character remain the focus. The copper has been gently patinated and polished to bring out warmth in the raised areas while keeping the darker etched lines visible.
