This circular ring is cut from copper I etched more than 30 years ago during my early metalwork training. The naturally irregular markings echo the slate surfaces and rugged rock patterns around the coastline here in Cornwall — layered, organic and full of depth.
I cut, shape and finish each piece by hand in my St Austell studio, polishing just enough to reveal the warmth of the copper while keeping every mark of the original etching intact. The result is a simple but quietly bold ring, each one unique to the metal it came from.
