Part of my Energy Art series of original paintings, Through the Oval Porthole is a joyful dive beneath the surface — a glimpse into an underwater world full of colour, rhythm and quiet movement. This piece is inspired by the feeling of looking into a rock pool or peering through a porthole, where vibrant life swirls just out of reach.
Painted in bright, expressive acrylics on an oval canvas, it’s filled with soft textures, flowing marks and tropical reef–inspired colours. Sea greens, warm corals, sunshine yellows and playful pinks move together in gentle patterns, echoing sea plants, drifting currents and hidden creatures. It’s a lively, uplifting piece designed to brighten a wall — and brighten you.
The canvas measures approximately 51cm wide x 35cm high and is fitted with a hanging cord and ‘D’ rings for easy hanging. An original, one-of-a-kind artwork made in my St Austell studio.
